At HTA School of Culinary Art, our first priority is providing a professional platform for students to equip them for the world of work. HTA also enforces a culture of “Work hard – Play hard”, so we constantly encourage, through various student functions and industry events, full time students to participate in the value-added benefits to further enhance the students’ professional approach, networking opportunities or simply just to have some fun.

Through our valued connections with leading hotels, event and catering companies, HTA also offers students ample opportunity to obtain additional work experience at some of the country’s most prestigious shows and events. In recent time our students have gained valuable work experience and often appreciated income at the following events; World Cup, Taste of Joburg, Top Gear Festival, World Cooks Tour against Hunger, Good Food and Wine Show, Music Concerts and the Curry Cup Finals, Master Chef, Top Chef S.A and Great South African Bake Off.
